OPERATION SINDOOR: India hits 9 terrorist sites in Pakistan, PoK

In a significant military response, the Indian Armed Forces executed ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’ in the early hours of May 7, 2025, targeting nine terrorist infrastructures across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The strikes were aimed at terror groups believed to be responsible for planning and directing attacks against India.

The operation comes as a direct retaliation to the barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, which resulted in the tragic deaths of 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national. Indian officials stated that the action was “focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature,” emphasising that no Pakistani military facilities were targeted.

Terrorist Infrastructure Targeted:

Intelligence-based operations led by the Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully hit:

Four targets associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM)
Three targets linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)
Two targets of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM)

The specific sites targeted include:

Markaz Subhan Allah, Bahawalpur (JeM)
Markaz Taiba, Muridke (LeT)

Markaz Abbas, Kotli (JeM)

India has maintained that it possesses credible intelligence, technical inputs, and survivor testimonies pointing to the involvement of Pakistan-based terrorists in the Pahalgam attack. The government stated its commitment to holding those responsible accountable.
