Aarogya Setu vaccination status

Aarogya Setu app could also be used by the beneficiaries to register themselves for vaccination.

Aarogya Setu app will display Covid vaccination status

The Aarogya Setu mobile app has now been upgraded to also indicate a person’s vaccination status. Users will now get Blue Ticks and Blue Shields on their Aarogya Setu app account on getting fully vaccinated. The new ticks and shield will show up once the user has taken both doses.

“Now your Vaccination Status can be updated on Aarogya Setu. Get yourself vaccinated – Get the Double Blue Ticks and Get the Blue Shield,” Aarogya Setu tweeted on Tuesday.

Aarogya Setu, the ‘Government of India’ contact tracing app, was launched in April 2020 to track Covid-19 infected people. The green status on the app was a mandatory requirement for boarding a flight and entering several other public places. The application uses Bluetooth technology and the personal contact number of a person to mark them as either Covid-19 positive or negative.

Apart from the Co-WIN digital platform used for Covid-19 vaccinations, the government has said that the Aarogya Setu app could also be used by the beneficiaries to register themselves and also download vaccination certificate.

Here is how to download Covid vaccination certificate from Aarogya Setu

  • Open the Aarogya Setu app on your phone.
  • Sign in using your mobile number.
  • Click on the CoWin tab at the top.
  • Enter your 13-digit beneficiary reference ID after clicking on the Vaccination Certificate option.
  • Click on the download button to get your vaccination certificate

The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has exceeded 20.25 crore, the Union health ministry said on Wednesday. It said 8,31,500 beneficiaries in the 18-44 age group received the first dose of Covid vaccine on Wednesday and cumulatively 1,38,62,428 people across 37 states and union territories have received it since the start of Phase-3 of the vaccination drive on May 1.

India’s vaccination drive against the coronavirus disease commenced on January 16 and is currently in its third phase, during which all people above 18 years of age are eligible to receive the vaccine. Three vaccines—Covishield manufactured by the Serum Institute of India , Covaxin manufactured by Bharat Biotech and Russian-made Sputnik V vaccine—are being used for inoculation in India.
